Day 2 was a fantastic day, as sessions continued to move between the field and classroom lectures, and included a panel discussion with representation from the DfB, Earthquakes, Inter Milan, and Frans Hoek.
Marcus Sorg, Assistant Mens National Coach, began the day with a lecture at the Maples Center, with a presentation on ‘The German Way’. Like so many leaders in player development, it was again stressed how important the individual is, and leading on from Nicklas Dietrich, who had earlier in the symposium expressed how the youth game is an individuals game, and clearly outlined the differences between senior and youth soccer.
An incredible day ended with the Earthquakes taking on LA Galaxy at Stanford, in what resulted in clinical 3-0 home win for the Quakes.
