We are incredibly honored and excited to share the news of the new Arunay Foundation Scholarship Award for individuals who have shown academic, or sporting excellence throughout the season, and/or contributed to their community.
The scholarship will be awarded to the individuals who displayed the qualities which Arunay is remembered for.
The awarded scholarship will be donated to Fremont YSC by Arunay Foundation, funded by Arunay’s Mom and Dad, and contributing to the participation fees of the upcoming season beyond the application window.

Early 2021 we the club experienced a devastating loss, with the disappearance of Arunay Pruthi, this hit the club, his friends and teammates, and the membership really hard. Arunay and his family will forever be in our thoughts.
Arunay had a great effect on everyone he knew, and his loss has really shown how many people cared for him. The immediate response to the incident at Cowell Ranch beach, saw an outpouring of support that included joining the search along the coastline, a visual representation of the great amount of positivity Arunay brought to everyone and the environment he was in.
Arunay played on the 2008 BBE but was very popular with players throughout the age group, and beyond in other age groups where he had practiced with many different teams and was recognized throughout the club. Our thoughts will forever be with the boys having lost a true friend.
Arunay had been with the club since he was 7 years old, and many of the coaching staff were lucky to have had the pleasure of coaching Arunay. Arunay was an excellent kid, and brilliant with his younger brother Sid, he showed compassion and patience whenever we saw him with Sid. Not only his brother, but Arunay always showed great respect to his mother and father, incredibly polite, but also caring of others, and genuinely a great kid. We will never be able to fully put in to words the thoughts and feelings of such a loss, and Arunay will forever be a great example to others, and for us always our number 9.
