WE ARE FREMONT
At Fremont Youth Soccer Club, we are different, and we are proud to be different. We don’t let egos and opinions get in the way of providing a player-centric program for the youth player. Our focus is specifically on the individual, where we aim to take them along a pathway to be a good person through learning about life skills and developing their soccer technique and intelligence.
Our program is built on research and influences across a wide spectrum of organizations and disciplines, spanning across the world in which some of the most successful clubs and organizations have been grounded. Our methodology is based on research from well-respected leaders, authors and doctors in human psychology, sports psychology, and technical development.
Within our recreational and competitive programs, there is age-appropriate curriculum specific to the needs of the player. Our coaching process starts with the technical breakdown of the player mechanics, transitioning to skill acquisition, then skill performance through small-sided games. We believe there is no better teacher of the game than the game itself.
While we coach the individual player to improve their soccer skills, the life lessons gained through sports participation are incredibly important. This is one of the most neglected areas in today’s youth sports environment where winning and the dream of a scholarship are paramount. No one can guarantee where a child will be at the age of adolescence—physically, technically, or psychologically—but we can have a big influence on their social skills.
Our Badge
Designed by one of Fremont YSC’s players, Josh Conklin, our badge is a reflection of both the city of Fremont and the club.
Oval: The spherical shape symbolizes our dedication to reviewing and evaluating the programs and learning experience for players. Our club environment encourages open lines of communication and opportunities to learn and belong to something bigger than a team or individual program.
Mission Peak: A symbol of Fremont, Mission Peak towers over the Mission District and is visible from any point within Fremont. The mountain reminds us of the journey we must take to reach the top, and the beauty that is in the challenges we face and conquer as we continuously climb to reach our peak.
Sunrise: The five ray beams break over the mountain, one for every district that is within Fremont. We represent each corner of Fremont with the aim of bringing together a community that’s proud of its soccer club.
3 Stars: A star represents each of our programs: Recreation, Competitive, and Camps/Clinics. We’re proud of the fact that we have a place for all players, no matter their experience or ability in soccer, in each of our programs.
Long-Term Development
Our priority as a club is not the short term. It’s not the winning of trophies and medals, or bragging about brackets played in. It’s about the long term process.
