ABOUT THE GRASSROOTS PROGRAM

Fremont Youth Soccer Club’s Grassroots recreational soccer program is for players born in 2012-2023. In this program, we focus on free play, giving players the opportunity to love the sport of soccer while being safe in their growth and development.

GRASSROOTS AGE GROUPS

  • MINI-MEGS (U4-U6)
    • Parent Volunteer and High School Players supervise sessions
    • Environment for players to play freely
    • Develops social skills and physical well-being
    • Emphasis on fun, participation, social interaction, and self discovery with movements to assist in motor development
    • Freedom to express themselves in a low pressure environment, resulting in creative problem solving
    • Fun games played to a story line

  • RAW DRIBBLERS (U8)

    • Environment for players to play freely
    • Develops social skills and physical well-being
    • Emphasis on fun, participation, and learning through play

    • A skill-of-the-week taught to players before breaking off in to small-sided games
