Bio
I kicked off my soccer journey at the age of 10 with the Rocklin Youth Soccer Club. Those early years on the field ignited a passion that would shape my soccer story.
At the age of 17, I stepped into the role of a referee, gaining a unique perspective on the game. Officiating matches not only honed my understanding of the rules but also deepened my appreciation for the intricacies of soccer. As a referee, I delved into the nuances of the sport, absorbing the dynamics on and off the pitch. Every decision became a lesson, contributing to my evolving soccer knowledge.
With a wealth of experience under my belt, I decided to transition from officiating to coaching. Guiding players and sharing my insights has become a rewarding chapter of my soccer journey.
I currently obtain my Grassroots Coaching License, with ambition to complete the USSF D this summer, and as a committed learner I continue to find educational resources through literature that supports the role of the coach in not just the session designs to coach technique and tactics, but also the psychology which is so important.
My responsibilities at the club have included coaching players in the Foundation Phase as well as now transitioning into a new role as Tournaments Director where I learned to manage our three tournaments for the year which include our Silicon Valley Cup, Kick or Treat Tournament, and California Cup.
