Parent Education and Engagement
At Fremont YSC, we support parents through the youth development journey by educating about expectations on the sidelines, the best way to support your player, how you can help, and why it all matters.

Introduction Phase
Fremont YSC’s Mini-Megs and Raw Dribblers programs are kicking off this month!
Both programs follow the objectives and methods in our introduction phase of learning, geared toward those at the very beginning of their soccer journey, and a long-term pathway of player development.
The objectives of the age group are age specific and relevant to the learning phase and needs of the individual. As there is no need for tactical interventions, the majority of the phase focuses on the psychosocial and physical pillar, aiming to create:
- A love for the game
- An open mindset to learning
- An introduction to the physical foundations of movement through running, jumping, tumbling, throwing, and kicking.
We utilize a play philosophy throughout all of the club, and our methods are play-friendly, ensuring the activities are the most appropriate method for learning while, at the same time, being fun!

Balancing School and Youth Sports
Youth sports are a great opportunity for kids to learn life skills, including discipline and time management. But with so much pressure from academics, it is difficult for kids to find a good balance to do both.
However, youth need an outlet to play, relieve stress, and learn emotional control for their greater well-being. If you’re looking for the reason and best way to find more balance between school and sports for your child, check out the graphics below.
